Hire can also be bought from Ben Lomond Alpine Resort's BASE operations at the bottom of the mountain, but will be more than online!

Between 1 June and 30 September, snow chains must be carried at all times when entering Ben Lomond National Park, regardless of whether the conditions require you to fit them. Fines apply to cars entering the national park that aren’t carrying chains.

Ben Lomond Alpine Resort's BASE carries a wide range of chains for hire and for sale.

Chains can be hired on our online shop platform (Please detail your wheel and tyre size – eg: 275 / 50 / 19) upon arrival for collection. Chains can then be picked up at Ben Lomond Alpine Resort BASE prior to driving up the mountain.  Should you book online and we dont have the size in stock, a full refund will be given on the chain hire only.

Ben Lomond Alpine Resort BASE is the only place you can get your lift ticket and hire package all in one discounted price.  We are located 3420 Blessington Road, at the corner of Blessington Road and Ben Lomond Road where you can hire all your equipment, including jackets and pants, skis, boards, boots, toboggans and chains.
