Novice Group Lessons

The Novice Group Lessons at Ben Lomond Alpine Resort are designed for guests who already have some skiing or snowboarding experience and are ready to continue developing their skills.

Afternoon Novice Group Lessons are the perfect progression from our morning First Timer Lessons or morning Private Lessons, providing extra time on snow to continue building your skills with one of our qualified instructors.

These lessons focus on fine tuning the basics, improving technique and building confidence on snow.

Who Are Novice Lessons For?

• Guests with approximately 1 to 4 days of prior skiing or snowboarding experience

• Lesson Duration: 1.5 hours
• Ability Level: Novice
• Morning and afternoon sessions available

Equipment Requirements

You must arrive with suitable ski or snowboard equipment for your lesson. This includes skis, boots and poles, or snowboard and boots.

Equipment hire and clothing hire is available through Ben Lomond Base Rentals.

Come Prepared

Dress appropriately for alpine conditions to ensure you stay warm and dry. Clothing hire is available through Ben Lomond Base Rentals, including jackets and pants. We recommend bringing spare clothing, gloves and any additional items needed to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Helmets

Helmets are mandatory for all lesson participants aged 17 years and under and are strongly recommended for all ages while skiing or snowboarding at Ben Lomond Alpine Resort.

Helmets are included in our rental packages.

Planning Your Day

If hiring equipment through Ben Lomond Base Rentals, you must arrive at least 2.5-3 hours prior to your lesson to allow time for equipment fitting and travel to the mountain.

Lesson participants should arrive at the lesson meeting point near the mountain ticket office at least 10 minutes prior to lesson commencement.

Please note that we do not operate or own any bus transport or shuttle services. Any delays caused by third party transport providers may result in missed lesson times.

To ensure you arrive on time, we recommend travelling in your own vehicle and hiring chains from us where required. Ben Lomond Alpine Resort is not responsible for delays caused by external transport providers.
