First Timers Group Lesson Package

The First Timers Lesson Package at Ben Lomond Alpine Resort is designed for complete first timers who have never skied or snowboarded before. This package gives you everything you need to safely and confidently experience the snow for the first time.

With a 1.5 hour first timer lesson, full equipment hire and guided lift use during your lesson progression, this is the easiest and most affordable way to get started on the mountain.

What’s Included

• 1.5 hour first timer ski or snowboard lesson
• Equipment hire through Ben Lomond Base Rentals including:
  • Skis, boots, poles and helmet, or
  • Snowboard, boots and helmet
• Free use of lifts during your lesson progression
• Professional instruction from our experienced team

Our instructors will guide you through the basics step by step, ensuring you feel comfortable and in control.

After Your Lesson

You will have the option to upgrade to a full lift pass at a reduced rate to continue using our lifts for the rest of the day. This flexible approach means you do not need to commit to a full lift pass upfront, making it ideal for first time visitors.

Come Prepared

Dress appropriately for alpine conditions to ensure you stay warm and dry. Clothing hire is available through Ben Lomond Base Rentals, including jackets and pants. We recommend bringing spare clothing, gloves and any additional items needed to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Helmets

Helmets are mandatory for all lesson participants aged 17 years and under and are strongly recommended for all ages while skiing or snowboarding at Ben Lomond Alpine Resort.

Helmets are included in our rental packages.

Planning Your Day

You must arrive at our Ben Lomond Base Rentals at least 2 hours prior to your lesson to allow time for equipment fitting and travel to the mountain.

Please note that we do not operate or own any bus transport or shuttle services. Any delays caused by third party transport providers may result in missed lesson times.

To ensure you arrive on time, we recommend travelling in your own vehicle and hiring chains from us where required. Ben Lomond Alpine Resort is not responsible for delays caused by external transport providers.
