Private Lessons

Private Lessons are the most flexible and personalised way to learn to ski or snowboard at Ben Lomond Alpine Resort.

Whether you are stepping onto snow for the first time or looking to refine advanced skills, private lessons allow our instructors to tailor the experience to your ability, goals and pace.

Private lessons are ideal for individuals or groups of friends who are of a similar ability level and would like to learn together.

Please note: You must have a valid lift pass and ski or snowboard equipment, or a lift and rental package, to participate in these lessons. Please see the lift and rental package page for available options.

Who Are Private Lessons For?

• All ability levels including first timers, novices, intermediates and advanced riders
• Individuals wanting faster progression and personalised instruction
• Groups that know each other and are of a similar ability level
• Great for families wanting to learn together in a private environment
• Children below the minimum age for group lessons

Lesson Structure

• 1 hour lesson duration
• Morning and afternoon sessions available
• Lessons are tailored to your ability level and goals
• Private lessons are taught to the lowest ability level within the group

• Beginner skiing or snowboarding fundamentals
• Turning technique and control
• Speed management and confidence building
• Lift confidence and mountain awareness
• Technique refinement for intermediate and advanced guests

Important Information

• You must have a valid lift pass and ski or snowboard equipment, or a lift and rental package.
• You must arrive at the lesson meeting point beside our mountain ticket office at least 10 minutes prior to your lesson start time.
• If collecting rental equipment from Ben Lomond Base Rentals, you must allow a minimum of 2 hours prior to your lesson for fitting and travel.
• Lessons will finish at the scheduled time regardless of start time.
• If you are running late, your participation in the lesson will be at the discretion of the instructor and management and may be refused with no refund.

Come Prepared

Dress appropriately for alpine conditions to ensure you stay warm and dry. Clothing hire is available through Ben Lomond Base Rentals, including jackets and pants. We recommend bringing spare clothing, gloves and any additional items needed to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Helmets

Helmets are mandatory for all lesson participants aged 17 years and under and are strongly recommended for all ages while skiing or snowboarding at Ben Lomond Alpine Resort.

Helmets are included in our rental packages.

Planning Your Day

Please note that we do not operate or own any bus transport or shuttle services. Any delays caused by third party transport providers may result in missed lesson times.

To ensure you arrive on time, we recommend travelling in your own vehicle and hiring chains from us where required. Ben Lomond Alpine Resort is not responsible for delays caused by external transport providers.
